About the Interbourse App

Thanks for supporting the Interbourse App!

The app started when I was working on a similar project with  the development groups of one of my subsidiaries. To date, except for my effort, the out of pocket cost has been very low, definitely under $1,000. It still needs a lot of work and my thought is this would be best done as a community. We are looking for Interbourse members to help with anything from suggesting features, identifying bugs to programming (if you have the ability).

My intention is that this app, all its source code and any IP is the property of the Interbourse community, a contribution from the Philly team. I will give access to the full source code to anyone in the IB community and in fact I am hoping that there are resources within the community that can contribute to advance the project. Kosta Corriveau from Pacific already has access and is working on the code to see how we can improve it from where it is now. Probably between Kosta and myself we can get most features in place, but the more ideas we have from Interbourse people the better the app will be.

Right now my intention is to try and get the app with a few additional modifications available in the regular app store and google play. I will do my best so that we can play with it in Andermatt.

Hanging on in there!

Dear Captains, Further to my last update, I am writing to keep you in touch with our progress. Out of the total of 258 registrations, during the last few months we have received a number of cancellations for a variety of reasons, most recently driven by concerns about the new variant of COVID. The official cancellations total is 30 so we currently have 228 still registered for the event. We are realistic – we expect this number to fall further. Notably, we have two teams that have indicated they will likely cancel and that would take our total just under our targeted 200 level. Despite this and with feedback from so many of you keen to attend if you can, we will continue to run the event. If Italy shuts their borders, or if specifically London cannot travel then we will postpone. In that case those that booked hotel accommodation with us at the Grand Hotel, the Crampon or the Pavillion are protected by COVID clauses and we will work with the other hotels for roll over credit. Interbourse has enjoyed its tradition for more than 50 years now. Interbourse is the world’s largest yearly international ski event for investment bankers, fund managers, securities traders, wealth management and portfolio managers, software vendors as well as employees from stock exchanges, media relations, clearing houses, IT providers and all involved in the financial industry.
