Interbourse 2022 The Italian Job – The Final Edit

We are delighted to update you with our latest, and hopefully final programme for the IB 2022 Interbourse

We are really sad for those that are going to miss out but understand your reasons entirely and we look forward to catching up with you in 2023 with our friends from Frankfurt. We wish them better luck in avoiding new COVID variants!

We currently have 11 exchange groups represented by 138 Interboursers, yes numbers are rising and we have received one or two more enquiries today. We are focusing our group networking events largely outside or in hotels with large outside areas connecting to the interior areas.

The Fancy Dress party is still happening, we look forward to a night of movie stars and favourite movies. The Gala DInner dress code is ‘Dress to Impress’.

Finally we recently published some important COVID information in the news section of the website – it helps with entry requirements and what to expect in Italy. Momentum will be emailing everyone with reminders too in due course just in case.

We will keep updating as information changes ahead of the event and will be using WhatsApp to update Captains once we are in resort. If you are a Captain and did not receive the test WhatsApp message this morning please can you send Jennie your phone number if you wish to receive Captain’s messages once the event starts.

Hanging on in there!

Dear Captains, Further to my last update, I am writing to keep you in touch with our progress. Out of the total of 258 registrations, during the last few months we have received a number of cancellations for a variety of reasons, most recently driven by concerns about the new variant of COVID. The official cancellations total is 30 so we currently have 228 still registered for the event. We are realistic – we expect this number to fall further. Notably, we have two teams that have indicated they will likely cancel and that would take our total just under our targeted 200 level. Despite this and with feedback from so many of you keen to attend if you can, we will continue to run the event. If Italy shuts their borders, or if specifically London cannot travel then we will postpone. In that case those that booked hotel accommodation with us at the Grand Hotel, the Crampon or the Pavillion are protected by COVID clauses and we will work with the other hotels for roll over credit. Who's Who - Missing or Insufficient Permissions

If you are getting the error missing or insufficient permissions when trying to load the Who's Who, it is likely due to the security restrictions in the app. We allow anyone to download the app and see the public information about the event, but restrict the Who's Who list to those who have registered. The main reason why registered members are getting this error is that the email associated with their account on the app is different from the email address in the Who's Who. For example, many IB registrants use their work email in the Who's Who but then use their personal email address to sign into the app. This is especially true when social login (google, linkedin, apple) is used and the email associated with that account is not the same as the email in the Who's Who.
